Water Source

Your water source is Lake Austin.  Lake Austin is operated by the Lower Colorado River Authority under the rules and regulations of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  The water from Lake Austin is purchased from the Lower Colorado River Authority, and is treated and distributed  to the Deer Creek system by the West Travis County Public Utility Agency. Once the water reaches the Deer Creek system it is managed by SJWTX, Inc., which works to ensure that service and quality are maintained within the system.

For more information about the lake level, which influences the drought stage implementation, visit Water Data For Texas - Lake Austin web page.

Consumer Confidence Report

The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is a document that provides customers with information about water quality sampling results. Sampling schedules are done in compliance with requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, as well as some additional sampling SJWTX performs for a higher standard of monitoring. The CCR is backward-looking; it presents a summary of information and data SJWTX collected in the previous calendar year.
