What is “One Water”? One Water is a transformative mindset that believes all water has value.  This approach strengthens the resiliency of our water supply by managing all water holistically – ground water, storm water, surface water, reclaim water, and more.  At TWC, we celebrate One Water and are constantly looking for ways to use all water, including reclaim water, thoughtfully and intentionally across our operations.

How TWC is putting One Water into action

Purple pipes carrying recycled water run throughout Texas Water Company facilities.Texas Water Company facilities use recycled water for uses like flushing toilets.

Purple pipe: Purple pipe is the standard color of pipe for recycled and reclaimed water. You’ll see it throughout our facilities supporting uses like toilet flushing.

Drought-tolerant landscaping: Our sites use native, drought tolerant plantings that don’t require irrigation—no traditional lawns, and no sprinkler systems.

Have you spotted purple signage or piping out in the community? Now you know the One Water mindset behind these projects across our service area. Texas Water Company is committed to making Every Drop Count.
