Texas Water Company Celebrates a Year of Innovation and Investment in 2024

Canyon Lake, Texas – March 18, 2025 – Texas Water Company ("TWC" or "the Company") is proud to reflect on a year of major achievements in water conservation, infrastructure advancements, and customer service enhancements in 2024. TWC continues to prioritize long-term investments in sustainable water solutions that ensure reliable service while protecting Texas’ vital water resources.

2024 highlights include:

• Investments in Infrastructure: TWC successfully completed over 250 capital projects, including the replacement of 20 miles of aging water mains, upgrades to critical pumping stations, and modernization of storage facilities to strengthen system resilience and reliability.
• Advanced Leak Detection Program: TWC’s proactive monitoring identified and repaired over 350 leaks, conserving approximately 380 million gallons of water and reducing customer costs.
• Expansion of Water Recycling Programs: The Company implemented new water reuse initiatives that supplied over 500 million gallons of treated water for non-potable uses, reducing demand for freshwater resources.
• Solar Power Advancements: TWC installed solar arrays at key facilities, generating 1,200 MWh in renewable energy, offsetting carbon emissions equivalent to removing 250 cars from the road for a year.
• Customer Service Enhancements: Introduced a real-time Outage Map to keep customers informed of service interruptions, reducing the need for call inquiries and improving response times.
• Community Engagement & Support: Sponsored various community events, awarded scholarships, and contributed to local charities, strengthening TWC’s commitment to the communities it serves.
• Recognition & Industry Leadership: TWC received accolades for its excellence in asset management, conservation efforts, and customer service innovations.

• Rainwater Harvesting – TWC is installing rainwater harvesting cisterns—sealed tanks that collect and store rainwater for non-potable uses such as irrigation and landscape watering – throughout its operating facilities. These systems are already in use at select facilities, and we plan to expand their implementation. Additionally, TWC is exploring the collection of condensation from HVAC systems to further enhance water efficiency.
• Water Reclamation at Comal County Warehouse – A new water reclaim system will allow us to reuse water from truck and equipment washing, saving approximately 90,000 gallons of water annually.
• Drought-Tolerant Landscaping – TWC is transitioning to native, drought-resistant landscaping at all campuses, eliminating the need for irrigation systems.
• Efficient Fixtures & Systems – To further reduce water use, we are installing high-efficiency toilets, urinals, sink aerators, and on-demand water heaters, cutting consumption by up to 20%.
