Safe, Reliable Water from Multiple Sources

Texas Water utilizes many different resources to supply water to our systems. These sources include purchased water, groundwater from the Trinity Aquifer, and surface water from Canyon Lake. Some systems receive water from a blend of these sources.

Surface Water - Canyon Lake Reservoir

Customers in the Canyon Lake area receive water from the Canyon Lake Reservoir, a vital water source operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Beyond supplying drinking water, Canyon Lake helps reduce flood risks along the Guadalupe River Basin and offers beautiful recreation opportunities for Texans.

Texas Water Company continually monitors this supply to ensure safety and quality.

Groundwater

Texas Water Company operates nearly 40 active wells from the Trinity Aquifer and nearby formations to serve our customers.

Groundwater naturally filters through layers of rock and soil, resulting in high-quality water that typically requires only disinfection instead of complete filtration.

Texas Water Company continually monitors this supply to ensure safety and quality.

Purchased Water

In some service areas, we supplement our supply by purchasing water from trusted regional providers:

  • Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA)

  • Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA)

These partnerships help ensure we can deliver reliable water even during high demand or drought. All purchased water is tested and monitored to maintain compliance with state and federal standards..

Commitment to Quality

No matter the source, Texas Water Company remains committed to providing safe, high-quality water to every customer we serve.
We continually invest in infrastructure improvements, testing, and technology upgrades to protect your health and enhance system reliability.
